Taxonomy

Color (Figure 1). Head yellow. Pronotum yellow, basally between the striae black. Elytron yellow with characteristic pattern of black fasciae as depicted in Figure 1. Appendages yellow. Prosternum, epipleura and abdominal sternites yellow posteriorly. Mesosternum dark yellow to red or black.

Sculpture. Head with sparse coarse punctation reaching approximately level of hind margin of eyes; microreticulation present, consisting of small polygonal cells; size of punctures equal to cell diameter. Pronotum with moderately dense and evenly distributed punctation; with microrecticulation as on head; size of punctures greater than cell diameter. Elytron with punctation as on pronotum. Epipleuron with very shallow punctures only, and faint mircoreticulation. Metasternum with numerous large punctures, surface rather smooth between these. Metacoxa with large punctures, at least central portion of metacoxa with mircoreticulation between these punctures. Abdominal segments rather smooth, with few larger setiferous punctures.

Male. Elytron with microreticulation between the punctures consisting of small polygonal cells as on pronotum. Antenna filiform (Figure 6). Median lobe of aedeagus in lateral view slightly curved, of the same width over most of its length, dorsal edge strongly descending subdistally, tip slightly recurved (Figure 2); in dorsal view with tip roof-like, sides from base to tip convex-concave-convex-concave-convex (Figure 3). Paramere with distal piece long and narrow, not strongly modified (i.e. not emarginate) distally but broadly rounded and with a lobe on interior side, with few setae (Figure 4).

Female. Elytron with distinct microreticulation between the punctures, consisting of small polygonal cells that are strongly transversely. Antenna filiform as in male (Figure 6). Gonocoxa with elongate apex, posteriorly with long setae; anterior part long and narrow (Figure 5).

Etymology. Named for M. Balke's friend Djoko (Jayapura, Papua), who helped a lot in the field. 'Pak' is Indonesian and a short form for 'Bapak', which means 'Father', but also is a polite form for 'Mister'.
