  • Leucophenga cyclophylla Huang, Jia, 2017, Zootaxa 4247: 230-230.

Diagnosis

Diagnosis. This species resembles L. flaviclypeata sp. nov. in having the thorax mostly dark colored (Figs. 4 I, 4J, 5A, 5B), the wing fuscous along R1 only (Fig. 2 J, K), and in the color patterns of abdominal tergites in male (Figs. 8 L, 9A), but can be distinguished from the latter by the surstylus acute apically, lacking any seta laterally (Fig. 18 A), and the aedeagus slightly expanded distoventrally (Fig. 18 D); see below that species.

Description

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 1–2 seta(e) above ocellar setae. Frons brownish yellow. Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow. Clypeus brown. Palpus yellowish. Mesonotum mostly brownish (Fig. 4 I). Postpronotal lobe yellow (Fig. 4 J). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 8–10 irregular rows (Fig. 4 I). Scutellum entirely brown (Fig. 4 I). Pleura with a brown, longitudinal stripe above (Fig. 4 J). Katepisternum and meron brownish yellow, mostly brownish above (Fig. 4 J). Wing (Fig. 2 J): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 4 peg-like spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites black (Fig. 8 L), with a pair of yellow patches submedially between 2nd to 3rd tergites. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 1 seta near posterior margin per side (Fig. 18 A). Paramere with ca. 1 sensillum submedially (Fig. 18 C). Measurements. BL = 2.00 mm in holotype, THL = 0.97 mm, WL = 1.77 mm, WW = 0.80 mm, arb = 6/3, avd = 0.90, adf = 2.00, flw = 2.00, FW/HW = 0.38, ch/o = 0.03, prorb = 0.67, rcorb = 0.80, vb = 0.38, dcl = 0.55, presctl = 0.60, sctl = 1.18, sterno = 0.72, orbito = 2.00, dcp = 0.32, sctlp = 0.73, C = 2.33, 4c = 1.29, 4v = 2.48, 5x = 1.70, ac = 2.25, M = 0.81, C3F = 0.81.
