Diagnosis

Diagnosis. This species resembles L. flaviclypeata sp. nov. in having the thorax mostly dark colored (Figs. 4 C, 4D, 5A, 5B), the wing fuscous along R1 only (Fig. 2 G, K), and in the color patterns of abdominal tergites in male (Figs. 8 F, 9A), but can be distinguished from the latter by the paramere with a remarkable wrinkle subdorsally (Fig. 15 C), and the aedeagus needle-shaped apically (Fig. 15 D); see below that species.

Description

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2–3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons yellow to brownish yellow. Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow. Clypeus brownish. Palpus yellow to brownish yellow. Mesonotum brownish yellow, with four brown, longitudinal stripes submedially and laterally in male (Fig. 4 C), brown before scutellum and brownish laterally in female. Postpronotal lobe yellow (Fig. 4 D). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 10–12 irregular rows (Fig. 4 C). Scutellum dark brown, yellow at tip in male (Fig. 4 C), brownish, dark brown laterally, brownish yellow at tip in female. Pleura and katepisternum mostly brown above (Fig. 4 D). Meron mostly brownish to brown above (Fig. 4 D). Wing (Fig. 2 G): Costal vein between R2+3 and R4+5 distally with ca. 5–6 peglike spinules on ventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown to black (Fig. 8 F, G), with a pair of yellow patches submedially between 2nd to 3rd tergites, 4th tergite with a pair of yellow patches subanteromedially in female (Fig. 8 G). Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 6 setae near posterior margin per side (Fig. 15 A). Surstylus rounded apically (Fig. 15 A). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum (Fig. 15 B). Paramere with ca. 6 sensilla aligned above wrinkle and ca. 3 sensilla distally (Fig. 15 C). Measurements. BL = 3.73 mm in holotype (range in 4♂ and 5♀paratypes: 3.47–3.73 mm in ♂, 3.33–3.60 mm in ♀), THL = 1.67 mm (1.63–1.73 mm in ♂, 1.47–1.60 mm in ♀), WL = 2.97 mm (2.90–3.13 mm in ♂, 2.80–3.13 mm in ♀), WW = 1.43 mm (1.33–1.47 mm in ♂, 1.30–1.43 mm in ♀), arb = 7/3 (7–8/3–4), avd = 0.94 (0.79–1.00), adf = 2.29 (1.75–2.29), flw = 2.14 (1.75–2.38), FW/HW = 0.44 (0.37–0.47), ch/o = 0.06 (0.05–0.08), prorb = 0.56 (0.53–0.69), rcorb = 0.44 (0.48–0.72), vb = 0.69 (0.42–0.62), dcl = 0.45 (0.34–0.65), presctl = 0.59 (0.48–0.71), sctl = damaged (1.15–1.25), sterno = damaged (0.69–0.81), orbito = 2.60 (1.50–2.33), dcp = 0.35 (0.25–0.33), sctlp = 1.13 (1.06–1.23), C = 2.57 (2.43–2.74), 4c = 1.07 (0.98–1.18), 4v = 1.90 (1.84–2.21), 5x = 1.59 (1.25–1.53), ac = 1.69 (1.43–1.84), M = 0.66 (0.57–0.72), C3F = 0.89 (0.78–0.88).
