Diagnosis
The subspecies is mainly based on its unique COI sequence. The single known specimen has a slightly differently shaped gonostylus compared to the nominotypical subspecies Leptospina truncata truncata. The apico-dorsal margin of the gonostylus is less concave, the bulge is more roundish and the awl-like setae are somewhat longer.
DNA Barcoding
The COI sequence is assigned to BIN BOLD:ADL4747 (n=1, K2P: 3.21%).
Etymology
The subspecies is named for the eccentric apical bulge of the gonostylus.
Distribution
Norway.
