Ordo: Hymenoptera
Familia: Braconidae
Genus: Earinus
Name
Earinus aurantius van Achterberg & Long – Wikispecies link – Pensoft Profile
- Earinus aurantius van Achterberg and Long 2010[1] [RMNH, type examined]
Diagnosis
This species is very similar to Earinus longensis Sharkey 1996[2]. The coloration of the Thai specimens match specimens of Earinus longensis (China, Japan and Far East Russia) almost exactly, however specimens of Earinus aurantius are more gracile and their ovipositor sheaths are wider.
Notes
The Thai specimens differ from those described from Vietnam in that the former have less orange brown color on the mesosoma. In the Thai specimens this color is restricted to the apex of the scutellum.

H041: #HQ667972
Distribution
Thailand and Vietnam. Distribution map of the Thai specimens which are deposited in HIC and QSBG can be found at http://purl.org/thaimaps/aurantius.
