The color of this species is unique to Disophrys in the region.

Distribution

Thailand, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka, Peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia (Sumatra, Krakatau, Kangean Islands) (van Achterberg and Long 2010[2]). Distribution map of the Thai specimens can be found at http://purl.org/thaimaps/erythrocephala.
Identified specimens are deposited in HIC and QSBG.
