Remarks
Verhoeff (1901)[1] noted that it was of the size and habit of hortensis but pale yellow. The brief description is insufficient to distinguish it from Cryptops hortensis. It was regarded as a synonym of Cryptops anomalans by Kraepelin (1903)[2]. Zapparoli (2002)[3] notes that the identity of this species must be checked. It is here regarded as a nomen dubium.
