Description
Measurements. Up to 11 mm (Tan & Clements 2008). Ecological notes. Development with free swimming veliger (Fukumori & Kano 2014). Generally associated with marine intertidal environments adjacent to mangroves, such as sandy banks of mangrove streams, on sand in drains and canals, and on mud in mangroves, but also is reported to occur on estuarine intertidal sand banks and mudflats (Tan & Clements 2008). In studied sites it was found on mud surface under mangrove trees, on sand banks of mangrove streams and in the canals in upper and mid-intertidal zones in mangrove plantation and in natural mangroves, locally very abundant. Relation to mangroves. Eurybiotic.
Distribution
Distribution in Vietnam.Central coast (Thach 2005). General distribution. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region (IWP) (Haynes 1988).
