Description
Description (partially from Sasakawa (2009)). General: (Figs 162, 163) Body length 3.5mm. Aristae and first flagellomeres missing. M 1 + 2 ratio 3.3. Female unknown. Chaetotaxy: Three fronto-orbital setae, decreasing in length anteriorly; anterior two setae closer anteriorly. Ocellar seta approximately as long as anterior fronto-orbital. Postvertical and interfrontal minute. Anterior dorsocentral 1 / 3 length; positioned close to each other posteriorly on scutum; enlarged setula in front of anterior dorsocentral on left side. Acrostichal seta absent (not present, as stated in original description). One small lateral scutellar seta. Colour: Setae yellowish-brown; black on tergites 2–6. Body mostly yellow with orange tint on notum; antenna light yellow; face whitish; parafacial, gena and postgena whitish and silvery tomentose; scutum with narrow browish stripe extending from alar base to anterior margin across postpronotum; postsutural scutum with short, narrow, pointed brownish stripe medially that extends onto anterior margin of scutellum; pleuron with narrow brownish stripe extending obliquely from dorsomedial region of anepisternum to dorsum of anepimeron; metanotum faintly brownish with mediotergite darker; legs light yellow; halter white; tergite 1 and anterior 1 / 3 of tergite 2 yellowish-brown, tergites 2–5 brownish-black, tergite 6 dark brown, epandrium dark brown with dorsum black, and surstylus black. Wing clear. Male terminalia: (Figs 164–167) Surstylus as high as epandrium, subtriangular with anterior margin shallowly concave and posterior margin curved before midpoint (inner-marginal setae distal to this point stout and tuberclelike). Hypandrium stout with shallow medial lobe bearing two setae. Phallapodeme rod-like with ventral shield forming relatively long dome. Pregonite weakly sclerotized, subovate with one subapical seta. Postgonite lobate, narrow and with two apical setae. Basiphallus and epiphallus small. Distiphallus nearly as long as phallapodeme. Paraphallus approximately 2 / 3 length of distiphallus, mostly clear, distal half with sparse, minute dorsal spinules.
