Discussion
DISCUSSION. According to Mocsáry (1909), A. fulvicornis was based on 11 Ƥ. As already noted by Taeger (1988 a), not 11 but 12 Ƥ of fulvicornis were found in the HNHM collection. There is no reason to exclude any of these specimens from the type series of fulvicornis. The lectotype of fulvicornis (Fig. 17) has sterna and terga 2 and 6 almost entirely black. The 11 specimens now remaining (all labelled as paralectotypes) show a rather wide variation in the extent of the pale colouration: the antenna may become rather dark (Fig. 18) and the abdomen much more extensively marked with yellow (Fig. 19).
