Description
Description of the female. Length about 13 mm. Head pale yellow with black and dark brown marking as in Fig. 3; inner margin of postgena black; mandible dark yellow, becoming amber towards apex; antenna pale brown, becoming blackish towards apex. Thorax black, with following parts pale yellow: posterior margin of dorsal part of pronotum and spot at ventral margin of lateral part of pronotum, tegula, posterior half of mesoscutal median lobe, rectangular spot in posterior part of mesoscutal lateral lobe, spot on sunken area of mesoscutal lateral lobe, most of mesoscutellum, and narrow anterior margin of mesepisternum, very large round spot in posterior part of mesepisternum, most of pectus, large part of metascutum, metascutellum, large spot in posterior part of metepisternum. Legs pale brown, with following parts black: large part of fore coxa, posterior surfaces of fore trochanter and femur, narrow basis and laterodorsal and medioventral parts of mid coxa, posterior surfaces of mid trochanter and femur, narrow basis, laterodorsal part and linear mark on outer ventral surface of hind coxa, and posterior surfaces of hind trochanter and femur. Wings hyaline, weakly stained with blackish brown, apical margin darkened; forewing with narrow, sharply defined band below stigma, vein R and veins in dark area of wing blackish brown, those in light area pale brown, and stigma basally black and apically pale brown; hindwing with veins in anterior part light brown and those in other area blackish brown. Abdomen pale brown, with following parts black: 1st tergum (except for posterior margin), linear median mark along anterior margins of 2nd to 5th terga, rectangular spot at anterior margins of 6th and 7th terga, rather broad anterior margin of 8th tergum, large mark at anterior margin of lateral ventral part of 8th tergum, most of 9th/10th terga, laterally enlarged band along anterior margins of 2nd to 6th sterna, 7th sternum (except for narrow posterior margin of lateral lobe), and ovipositor sheath. Head with sharp postgenal carina laterally; postocellar area about 0.96 times as long as anterior width; lateral sutures nearly straight, rather strongly convergent posteriorly; transverse, lateral transverse, and coronal sutures indistinct; frons weakly raised, with rather low median crest running from median fovea to interantennal area (frontal tubercle); ocellar basin small and shallow; median fovea shallow, elongate punctiform; facial crest rather weakly raised, bluntly carinate; clypeus roundly swollen medially, about as high as frontal tubercle in lateral view. Head behind level of transverse and lateral transverse sutures and upper part of gena with rather narrowly spaced, usually medium-sized, distinct punctures, interspaces smooth; area from level of lateral transverse suture to facial crest and frons with very dense, partly confluent punctures, more or less rugose; paraantennal field with dorsal 0.3– 0.5 covered with dense, irregular punctures, but remaining part smooth, without distinct punctures (Fig. 4); clypeus with rather dense irregular punctures, interspaces rather smooth, dorsolateral part weakly transversely rugose; lower part of gena coarsely and irregularly rugose. Punctures on head bearing long pale brownish hairs. Right antenna with 32 antennomeres (left one with apex missing); 3rd antennomere about 2.2× length of 4th. Forewing with cell C glabrous and stub of m+cu-a absent; hindwing with apical stub of 2A absent. Each abdominal tergum shallowly coriaceous anteriorly and rather smooth posteriorly, shining.
