Diagnosis
Diagnosis.Acailandica acailandiae is related and similar to A. pyrozona (Meyrick) but differs from it chiefly in having an oblique posterior edge of the basal blotch, variegated terminal forewing markings, and a stouter aedeagus.
Description
Description. Head: Olive grey. Thorax: Olive grey, glossy ventrolaterally; legs grayish. Wing span 10 mm. Forewing (Fig. 7) expanding terminad; costa indistinctly convex; termen somewhat concave beneath apex, convex medially; ground colour orange; costal strigulae slender, white, followed by bluish refractive lines; incisions and markings broad, dark brown; posterior edge of basal blotch oblique, deeply incised subcostally; costal part of median fascia slender; group of four blotches between mid-dorsum and tornus followed by slender terminal marking at tornus and group of medioposterior strigulae, large blotch at mid-termen and fine edge of apex present. Cilia grey, brown at tornus. Hindwing yellowish orange, broadly edged with brown on peripheries, with brownish mark basally. Cilia grey. Abdomen: Male genitalia (Fig. 1) as described for the genus. Etymology
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality of Acaulandia.
