Description
Type-species: Atlantapseudes nigrichela Băcescu, 1978.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis. Chela and pereopod 1 without exopods. Propodus of pereopod 1 shortened, bearing spines on the dorsal and ventral margins grouped in a fanlike arrangement. Squama of antenna reduced, linguiform with two terminal seta. Eye spines present; eyes without visual elements. Lateral margin of carapace with paired spinelike apophysis, often accompanied by small setae. Oostegites absent on chela and found on pereopods 1- 4. Five pairs of biramous pleopods, with exopod 2 -articled, present only in mature males, with rami bearing multiple setae.
