Notophthiracarus rotoitiensis Niedbała, 2006 Distribution: Australasian; Australasia: New Zealand and Australia: Tasmania; new for Victoria. Up to now, 53 species have been known from Victoria (Niedbała 2012). In the newly examined material 37 species were found. Among them 23 species have been already known to occur in Victoria, 14 have been recorded for the first time from this region, whereas seven of them are new to science. A genus new for Victoria Arphthicarus was represented by two new species A. donnabuangensis sp. nov. and A. sassafrasensis sp. nov.. A list of all new localities from different areas of Victoria and the species found with the number of specimens is presented in the Appendix.
