According to Potapov & Babenko (2000) it is distributed only in the High Arctic of North America and East Palaearctic. The records of this arctic species in China and adjacent countries call for the verification. F. s t e l l a Christiansen et Tucker (Hebei). Described from U.S.A., the distribution is unclear.
