Despite the broad distribution of ''{{Taxon name|Hemilepistus elongatus}}'' in Iran (Kashani and Sari 2012<ref name="B5">{{aut|Kashani G}}, {{aut|Sari A}} (2012) Discovery of broadly distributed terrestrial isopod ''{{Taxon name|Hemilepistus elongatus}}'' Budde-Lund, 1885 ({{Taxon name|Isopoda}}; {{Taxon name|Oniscidea}}): redescription and intraspecific character variability. ZooKeys 176: 13–22. doi: 10.3897/zookeys.176.2271 </ref >), this is the first time this species is reported from the province of Qazvin.
