Instructions for reviewers

English: The following instructions are only for administrators and community approved reviewers. If you are neither of those, you only have to tag the image {{Ipernityreview}}.
  1. The image is initially in Category:Ipernity review needed.
  2. If the image is currently available on Ipernity under the same license as on the Commons, modify the review template to {{Ipernityreview|YourUsername|Date}}. This places it in Category:Admin reviewed Ipernity images.
  3. Sometimes users on Ipernity upload public domain images which are then transferred to Commons. The license of these images on Ipernity is irrelevant; mark it {{ipernityreviewunnecessary}}. You can also use this tag for images freely licensed elsewhere (such as on Flickr). The tag can also be used if it is own work uploaded both to Commons and Ipernity by same user (and this is verified).
  4. If the image is currently available on Ipernity under a license which is allowed on the Commons, but the license on Commons is not the same (such as an older version of the same license), update the license tag on the Commons image to match the Ipernity one and modify the review template to {{Ipernityreview|YourUsername|Date|changed=license}}. This places it in Category:Admin reviewed Ipernity images.
  5. If the licence is allowed on the Commons, сheck if the author is properly attributed.
  6. If the image is currently available on Ipernity with a license which is not acceptable on Commons, do not update the license tag. Instead modify the review tag to {{Ipernityreview|YourUsername|Date|CurrentIpernityLicense}}. This places it in Category:Possibly unfree Ipernity images.
  7. Please leave a comment on the photo, such as "Thanks for licensing this CC-BY! Your choice of a free license has allowed us to use your image in Wikimedia Commons (http://commons.wikimedia.org/ )." to confirm that the photographer did not make a mistake in their license selection and to encourage them to join our community.

Note that the Flinfo tool can be used to get information about Ipernity images. Flinfo will report any image not having a license accepted on the Commons as "copyrighted". For images that do have appropriate licenses, it will display a full {{information}} template and a link to highest available resolution of the image.

The template automatically sets the following categories: Category:Possibly unfree Ipernity images or Category:Admin reviewed Ipernity images

Usage

{{Ipernityreview|1=|2=|3=|changed=}}

Or use the shorthand {{subst:Irw|<license if incompat.>|changed=<old license if new is compat.>}}

Example of free image tag

{{Ipernityreview|Example|2006-10-20}}:

This image, which was originally posted to Ipernity, was reviewed on by the administrator or trusted user Example, who confirmed that it was available on Ipernity under the above license on that date.

Example of unfree image tag

{{Ipernityreview|Example|2006-10-20|PD-Magic}}:

X mark.svg This image, which was originally posted to Ipernity, was reviewed on by the administrator or trusted user Example, who found that it was currently available on Ipernity under the license PD-Magic, which isn't compatible with Commons. It is unknown whether the license above was ever valid.
