Upload files to OpenMedia under the Creative Commons attribution-share-alike license (while keeping your full copyright). Files uploaded to this shared repository can be used directly in a number of connected platforms (for example Key to Nature, Naturwiki, Phytopathology.net, or Species-ID).

• Choose Browse and select files from your local computer. You can upload from 1 to $1 files at a time.
• Please verify that the Destination filename is descriptive (e. g., containing a species name or a specimen number) as well as distinguishing (e. g., containing creators name, date or other parts to avoid conflicts with other people submitting material for the same topic). Do not use names like "DSC012134.jpg" or "BeechLeaf.jpg. A good example is "Fagus sylvatica leaves 2009-09-22 Bob Smith.jpg"; names like "JSmith_DSC012134.jpg" or "ProjectName_DSC012134.jpg" are also possible.
• Please provide a brief Summary describing your file to enable others finding and understanding the new image.

DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION! Inappropriate files will be deleted, see the file deletion policy.

After Uploading:

1. Unfortunately, there will be no detailed success message after the upload (a software limitation).
2. To find your recent uploads, click on Recent file uploads in the menu on the left side.
3. In the column Name you see your destination names (example: "Logo_nkis.jpg").
4. To display uploaded images in another wiki, choose a page and go into edit mode. Then type "" after the wiki-file-name; for example "". By default, the image will display on the right hand side; this can be changed, please refer to the help pages on your wiki.
