modioliform (adjective; Latin modiolus, a small measure or drinking vessel; forma, form): 1. In the form of a nave or hub of a wheel; more or less globular with truncated ends.

2. (Mollusca: Bivalvia) Beaks are not terminal and anteroventral region forms a slight bulge; shell shaped like the genus Modiolus.
