mesoseries (noun; Greek mesos, middle; Latin series, row): (Arthropoda: Insecta) In larva, a band of crochets or hooks extending longitudinally on the mesal side of a proleg; when curved, varying from a quadrant to slightly more than a semicircle in extent, seldom exceeding two-thirds of a circle.
