histrichoglossate (adjective; Greek hystrix, porcupine; glossa, tongue): (Mollusca: Gastropoda) Referring to the radula, consisting of numerous types or categories of teeth: a median central tooth plus several kinds of lateral and marginal teeth, in retrograde oblique position, often in bristlelike fascicles.
