epomia (noun; plural epomiae; Greek epomidios, on the shoulder): (Arthropoda: Insecta) 1. The margin of the propleural furrow in which the front femur is inserted. 2. In ichneumonid Hymenoptera, a carina on the side of the pronotum, obliquely crossing the trough in the side of the pronotum.
