If the pileus shape is orbicular (round), pileus width is a diameter of the pileus.

If the pileus shape is flabelliform, petaloid, spatulate or dimidiate pileus width is the longest part from the point attached to the substrate (except the stipe) to the edge of the pileus.

If the pileus shape is semicircular, pileus width is the radius of pileus.

If the pileus shape is elongated, pileus width is the longest length from a substrate that pileus attached to the end of the pileus.

If the basidiocarp is resupinate (apileate) and is looked on a rectangle, the width is the shorter side of the basidiocarp.

傘の形状が円形の場合、傘の幅は傘の直径をさす。

傘の形状が扇型、花びら型、へら型あるいは貝殻型の子実体の場合は、傘の幅は基質から傘のふちの長さ(柄を除く)長さをさす。

傘の形状が半円形の場合、傘の幅は傘の半径をさす。

子実体が背着生(傘がない)で長方形とみなされる場合は、長方形の短い辺の長さをさす。
