In the case of pileate basidiocarp, pileus thickness is a length from the pileus surface to the pore surface.

In the case of apileate basidiocarp (resupinate basidiocarp), basidiocarp thickness is a length from the substrate to the pore surface.

傘のある子実体の場合、傘の厚さは傘の表面から菅孔の表面までの最も厚い部分の長さをさす。

傘のない(背着生）の子実体の場合、子実体の厚さは基質から菅孔までの長さをさす。
