Dimensions

Type material
NHMUK 20100655, lectotype, and three paralectotypes (Cuming coll.).
Remarks
This taxon may be confused with several other Plectostylus species; a revision of this group is pending (F. Cádiz, pers. commun.). One of the specimens matches the original shell height and corresponds to the figures in Sowerby 1833[2]–1838; this shell is here selected as lectotype (design. n.).
