Diagnosis
- In the forewings Ms1b usually merges with Cu1, then separating and later merging again, forming a characteristic triangular cell.
- Forewings with a small triangular cell at the base of Ms1 (a large trapezoid cell in species of Muiralevu).
- Forewings with the Sc+R fork located in the middle between the first and 2nd subcostal sector (very close to the first subcostal sector in Muiralevu).
- Forewings usually about 2 times longer than wide or broader (in Muiralevu forewings usually more elongated).
- Body often with bright red or orange marks or colouration.
