Type locality
Gulf of Naples (western Mediterranean Sea).
Distribution
North-east Atlantic (Iberian Peninsula). Mediterranean Sea: WB, CB, AD, AS, LB. New record for the Israeli coast.
Habitat
Until 30 m depth (San Martín 1984b[2]), in medium to coarse sands.
