Stipes verrucose about 7-10 μm, walls about 0.5-1 μm thick. Metulae 6-13 x 5-6 μm. Phialides 7-10 x 2.5-3.5 μm, with obvious periclinal thickening, in whorls of about 4-5 on metulae. Conidia 4-5 x 1.5-2 μm, ellipsoidal, sometimes with a truncate base.
